Despite its immense economic potential, population density, and abundant natural resources, Africa remains underdeveloped. Economic growth is still precarious due to unstable global economic conditions, an increase in debt service obligations, a propensity for climate-related disasters, and a rise in conflict and violence. In addition, economic activity is hampered by the spread of conflict and bloodshed in the region, mostly caused by the quest for power or the scramble and unfair distribution over natural resources. All of these factors compel us to intensify our efforts to protect this region of the planet for future generations because of these major obstacles, which essentially serve to diminish the enormous potential of this region. This requires, first and foremost, building a strong economic resilience by creating systems and policies that can adapt to these shocks without causing significant economic decline. Promoting economic freedom is also essential to improving the quality of life for citizens. By investing in resilient infrastructure, sustainable agriculture, and renewable energy, African countries can ensure economic stability and long-term growth. This will not only help reduce poverty but also achieve broader sustainable development goals such as improved health, education, and environmental sustainability. These initiatives are now critical to ensuring a prosperous and peaceful future for the continent and its people, more so as Africa is home to a significant portion of global resources, labor and market. By providing smart policy advices and maintaining strong relationships with policy-makers, we at CEFRES are committed to contributing to the resilience of African economies and promoting economic freedom.
